I’m dippin’ in quickly to share a song that has been on my mind and in ears for the past 2 days! Like many of my picks for Song of the Day…I’m sure you’ve probably not thought about this one in quite a while. I’ve even heard from some of you that you’ve NEVER heard the songs I select! And for me that’s a great thing!!!!
Today’s selection is a song that was featured on Alicia Myers’ album “I Appreciate.” That’s right…Alicia Myers. I know that name is a blast from the past. Alicia was one of the original members of the group One Way. The Detroit-native eventually ventured off on her on in search of a solo career. After putting out a few albums in the eighties, Alicia dropped off the music scene.
More than likely, you remember Alicia for another song. See if you remember these lyics:

That’s right, it was Alicia who sang “I Want to Thank You!”

*Interesting sidenote: “You Get the Best From Me” hit the top 5 back in 1984! This was a big hit for Alicia!!
