I’m just getting the news and grappling with the fact that one of my favorite soul artists passed away last night. Robert Dwayne “Bobby” Womack–wow what a legend.
Ask just about anyone who knows me and you’d quickly learn that “Bob” was certainly one of my faves. In fact I made a vow in January to see Mr. Womack live somehow, some way this year. This news is saddening and sobering. And what’s more, it reminds me that my goal to see the greats is all the more valid.
I think, I’m going to end this here and go listen to some of my favorite Bobby Womack tunes. Y’all be easy.
